History of the satellite

The following information was gathered to have a trace of the satellite evolution.

HISTORY OF THE SATELLITE

COPIAMC results from merging into a single scientific event two symposia that since 1995 were held in parallel, namely

(A)  "The International Symposium on Polarization and Correlation in Electronic and Atomic Collisions".

(B)  "The International Symposium on (e,2e), Double Photo-ionization and Related Topics".

The previous joint editions took place in:

2017  Palm Cove, Australia

2015  San Sebastian, Spain

2013  Hefei, China

2011  Dublin, Ireland

2009  Lexington, USA

2007  Königstein, Germany

2005  Buenos Aires, Argentina

2003  Königstein, Germany

2001  Rolla, USA

1999  Beijing, China

1997  Frascati, Italy

1995  Vancouver, Canada

In previous occasions the two satellites were held separately in:

1993  (A) Bielefeld, Germany

          (B) Paris, France

1991  (A)+(B) Adelaide, Australia

1989  (A) Hoboken, NJ, USA

          (B) College Park, Maryland, USA

1987  (A) Belfast, UK

1985  (A) Pasadena, USA

          (B) Vancouver, Canada

1983  (A) Muenster, West Germany

1981  (A) Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA

HISTORY OF "(e,2e)" EUROCONFERENCES

The scientific community interested in applications of (e,2e) begun to gather on a yearly basis to discuss achievements and perspectives of this research area.

The meetings of the “(e,2e) club”, traditionally held in Paris just before Christmas in the 1980s of the past century, evolved in a series of workshops and conferences initially sponsored by European cooperative projects and NATO grants.

The name of the event changed several times.
